COMPARISON OF THE CORROSION PROPERTIES OF CoCrMo DENTAL ALLOYS IN ARTIFICIAL SALIVA

CoCrMo alloys are known for their biocompatible properties, which, together with favorable mechanical mean they can be efficiently used in dentistry. With the development of selective laser melting fabrication 3D printed objects, interest corrosion properties this alloy has risen field prosthodontics. In study, CoCrMoW dental were studied artificial saliva at body temperature i.e. 37 °C. Different forms selected: a reference sample, original material as-received from supplier, casted sample acquired an ordinary procedure laboratory, and two samples made powder using method (SLM). Electrochemical, spectroscopic hardness measurements conducted. It was shown that cast have similar microstructural electrochemical while differ, most probably due to effect higher micro porosity chemical composition alloys.
